Catherine Webster (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Catherine Irene Webster, daughter of John Fielden “J.F.” and Eula Tressie Denan Allen, was born January 22, 1943, near Lebanon, Missouri. She departed this life Saturday, January 28, 2017, in North Kansas City Hospital, in North Kansas City, Missouri, at the age of seventy-four years, and six days.
On May 30, 1959, she was united in marriage to Leroy Webster, and to this union two daughters and one son were born.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two great-grandchildren; her siblings, Ollie Baker, Johnny Allen, Albert Allen, Clysta Hillig, Lois Hillig, her twin brother, Billy Allen, and four infants; two nieces, Judy Norton, and Yvonne Webster; and a nephew, Roy Gene Ruble.
Catherine is survived by her husband of fifty-seven years, Leroy, of the home; two daughters, Irene Craft, and her husband, Duwayne, and Brenda Hostikka, and her husband, Duane, all of Parkville, Missouri; a son, Fielden Webster, and his wife, Sheila, of Parkville, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Katrina and Vincent, Kayla and Scott, Amanda and Michael, Derek and Jessika, Tiffany, Richard and Ashley, Breanna and Rene’, and McKenna and Jake; thirteen great-grandchildren; a sister, Pauline McGuire, of Rayville, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born and raised in the Lebanon, Missouri area. Soon after she and Leroy were married, they moved to the Kansas City, Missouri area and made their home near Parkville. Catherine was a devoted homemaker to her husband and a very loving mother to her children. For thirty-five years, Catherine also drove a school bus for the Park Hill School District.
She was a big fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals and also loved following her children’s sporting events. She enjoyed crocheting and made blankets for all of her children and grandchildren. She liked things clean and orderly and enjoyed keeping her home immaculate at all times. She was steadfast in her convictions, liked going to Casinos, and loved her coffee hot. Her family was very dear to her and she especially enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren.
Catherine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, niece, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that the legacy she leaves behind will be forever cherished.
