Cathy Ann Butts (Camdenton)'s Obituary
Cathy Ann Loutzenhiser Butts of Sunrise Beach, MO passed away November 1, 2025 at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach, MO with her daughter by her side. She was born April 2,1954 in Kansas City, Jackson Co., MO. to Mary Catherine Dwyer (1934-2016) and Homer Willis Loutzenhiser (1930-2005)
She was married to Charles D. Butts in January 1972. They divorced in September of 1982. While they were married they had nine pregnancies, only two resulted in a baby.
She graduate from Lyons High School Class of 1972. After her youngest was in school full time, she went to college, first Barton County Community College in May 1988, then went to Sterling Collage where she graduated in May 1991 with BS in behavior Science. She then got a job with SRS (now known as DCF). She worked out of the Great Bend, Lyons, and South Hutchinson offices until she retired in December of 2016.
She enjoyed cross stitching, knitting and Crocheting blankets for her loved ones. A Kansas City Chiefs fanatic from the start, she loved them when they were the Kansas City Texans!
She is survived by two children, a son, James A Butts(1972) of Wichita, KS and a daughter Jennifer LeAnne Butts(1978) of Lyons, KS and a bonus son, Charles Shell(1979) of Nebraska; two siblings (Herbie) Leslie Gable of Roach, MO and David Loutzenhiser of Salem, OR.; her Aunt Velma Thompson of TN and many cousins and nieces and nephews; not to mention the kids and grandkids of love.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two siblings, James Willis Loutzenhiser in 1971 and [Doll] Jeri Lea (Loutzenhiser) Jay in 2006.
