Charlene L. Cantrell (Seymour)'s Obituary
Charlene Leuvern Cantrell, age 82, a long time Seymour resident, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2019 in her home with her family by her side following a lengthy illness. She was born Friday, May 28, 1937 in Webster County to Fred Arndt and Beulah Gladys (Cook) Arndt. Charlene attended Gentry School and then Seymour High School, graduating with the class of 1955. Just a few months later, on August 16, 1955, she was united in marriage to David Isaac Cantrell and to this union four sons were born. She worked at Brown Shoe Factory and H.D. Lee, retiring with over 30 years of employment.
Charlene was preceded in death by her parents, her husband David on June 10. 2005 and a son Donald Wayne Cantrell on July 28, 1974.
Surviving her are her three sons David W. Cantrell, Dan W. Cantrell and Dwaine W. Cantrell and his wife Kim all of Seymour, Missouri; a brother Calvin Young and wife Jackie of Diggins, Missouri; 3 grandchildren Linsey Johnson and husband Daniel of Seymour, Missouri, Jake Cantrell and wife Chelsea of Ozark, Missouri and Jesse Cantrell of Springfield, Missouri; 3 great grandchildren Kira Cantrell of Ozark, Missouri, Lacy Johns of Rogersville, Missouri and Danielle Johnson of Urbana, Missouri along with many other extended family and many friends.
She will be lovingly remembered for her enjoyment of reading the Bible and visiting with family and friends.
In lieu of flowers and plants, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home for the family.
