I was one of many "back door" visitors who stopped by often on my long walks in our neighborhood. Although she was a busy mother and homemaker, she always took time to chat about the doings of the day as we shared the good times, and also the sad times. It was a privilege to watch you grow into the fine adults you are today, Angie, Troy and Eric, and I send my sympathy and prayers to you all as we remember this remarkable woman with love.

I was fortunate to have Charlene as a neighbor and friend. Out children grew up together and remained friends throughout their lives. She and I held several garage sales together as the kids grew. We had many visits and laughs together in person and by phone. She never failed to say I love you when departing or hanging up on the phone. I am going to miss my dear friend and neighbor immensely. Lowell and I were so sorry to hear of the loss of Charlene. She was such a kind, and positive person. She had Lowell do quite a bit of work around her farm the past few years which developed into a friendship. I have had many good phone conversations with Charlene, and have so enjoyed getting to know her. She will be so missed. I know she had to go into a care center, and I had intended to send a card--yesterday going by her house I noticed how pretty her trees were--thought I have to get that card off to Charlene. Then later yesterday, I found out that she had passed away. So very sorry for your loss--prayers for your family.
I loved teaching alongside Mrs. Pannell. She was a peach among many; a first class educator. I am blessed, humbled and thankful to have been a colleague. Very sorry I cannot attend the service. Charlene really rocked.

Mrs Pannell was a wonderful light for me when I was a new and learning teacher. She was a gem for sure. She will be missed. Teachers like Mrs Pannell are rare!
