Charles Burt (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Charles Albert Bert, 93 passed away on November 27, 2024. He was the husband of Arlene Burt. They shared 45 years of marriage together.
Charles was born in Okmulgee County, Oklahoma on December 29, 1930, to Roy and Gladys Burt. He graduated from Twin Hills High School with letters. He attended business school and enlisted in the Navy, serving at the Naval base in San Diego during the Korean War. He then moved to Kansas City and joined the Kansas City Fire Department, where he served until he retired after more than 30 years of service.
He was an avid bowler, participating in league bowling for many years and bowling a perfect, 300 game in 1979. In addition to bowling, he enjoyed gardening and was a lover of all animals.
He is preceded in by his mother and father and many, many beloved pets.
He is survived by his loving wife, Arlene, and his four daughters, Julie Kaminsky, Linda (Susie) Parker, Nancy Alexander and Theresa Mahr, in addition to numerous grandchildren.
A visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar.
Funeral services will take place at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, following the visitation.
Burial will follow at St. Wenceslaus Cemetery.
