Charles William Cholke, son of William John and Victoria Jean Zwierzyna Cholke, was born, May 8, 1968 in Chicago, Illinois. He departed this life, Sunday, October 11, 2009, in his home, Camdenton, Missouri at the age of forty-one years, five months and three days. Survivors include his daughters, Kathryn Cholke and Jessica Cholke both of Montreal, Missouri and Emmily Cholke of the state of Texas; his parents, Bill and Victoria Cholke of Camdenton, Missouri; a sister, Debra O'Haro and husband Jeff of Laurie, Missouri; a brother, James Cholke of Shawnee, Kansas; two nieces, Kristen O'Haro and Kaitlyn O'Haro; a nephew, Shaun O'Haro all of Laurie, Missouri and other relatives and many friends. Charlie was raised in Bellwood, Illinois and attended school there. The family moved the lake area in 1987 where he attended vocational technical school and learned to be a marine mechanic. He had worked for Page Marina, Silver Sands and The Mariner now known as Pier 31. He was raised in the Catholic faith and attended St. Anthony Catholic Church in Camdenton. In his spare time he enjoyed bowling and swimming. He loved playing bingo on Tuesdays and always sat by the “slow” table. He made an almost daily trek to the Glory Hole for his “usual” – a grilled cheese sandwich, one pickle and a Dr. Pepper. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family, laughing and joking. They affectionately referred to him as “Upchuck” and that would always make him smile and laugh. He was a loving father, son, brother and uncle and a caring neighbor and friend. His life was much too brief, but his memory will live on in our hearts. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 17, 2009 in Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Burial will be in Allee Memorial Gardens, Camdenton. Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m., Saturday in the funeral home.
