Charles Couch (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Charles Couch was born October 22, 1935 to Jessie Lance and Susie Childers Couch in Hardy, Arkansas. He departed this life Saturday, January 11, 2025 at Lebanon South Nursing and Rehab. He was eighty-nine years, two months and twenty days of age.
Charles grew up in Arkansas where he met and married his lifelong love, Erma L. Ingram. They were married on April 17, 1954 and made their home in Rockford, Illinois. They became the proud parents of five children, Debbie, Dianne, Gary, David and Chuck.
In 1969 the couple moved to Lebanon, Missouri where he was employed at Detroit Tool. He also became a pig farmer for several years. When he retired from farming, Charles became a carpenter and enjoyed building things with his hands.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie and Susie; his loving wife Erma on June 20, 2014; and a number of brothers and sisters.
He is survived by two daughters, Debbie Waterman of Lebanon, Missouri, Dianne McCleary and husband Eddie of Ava, Missouri; three sons, Gary Couch of Lebanon, Missouri, David Couch and wife Joni of New Liberty, Iowa and Chuck Couch and his wife Rebecca of Lenexa, Kansas; and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Charles loved music and could be found playing his guitar in several different bands. He shared his talent at the Hughes Senior Center in Lebanon and looked forward to playing whenever he could.
Charles was a big fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and enjoyed watching them on television. He liked to go fishing and be outdoors as much as possible.
Most of all, Charles was a dedicated family man. He loved his family with all his heart and especially looked forward to spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The wonderful memories he made for his family and friends will most certainly be treasured for years to come.
