Charles "Eddie" Miller's Obituary
Charles Edmond “Eddie” Miller, son of Charles Edmond and Mary Jane (Fleetwood) Miller was born January 11, 1939 near Seymour in Webster County, Missouri. He departed this life Tuesday, March 9, 2010 in his home near Seymour at the age of seventy-one years, one month, and twenty-six days.
On January 5, 1981 Eddie was united in marriage to Carol Jean Mason and together they have spent twenty-nine wonderful years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Leonard, Frankie, and John Miller; and two sisters, Marie Cornelison and Goldie Hutchins.
Eddie is survived by his loving wife, Carol, of the home; five children, Tammy Jo Miller, of Seymour, Missouri, Donna Jean Gilbert and her husband, Tony, of Halfway, Missouri, Charles Edmond Miller, III and James Franklin Miller, both of Seymour, Missouri, and Roger Allen Miller and his wife, Rebecca, of Mansfield, Missouri; seven grandchildren, David, Michael, Amanda, Amber, James, Darian, and Kolby; seven great-grandchildren, Haley, Evan, Rylee, Aliyah Jean, Lucas, Alexias, and Braydon; a sister, Jean Cantrell and her husband, Tom, of Marshfield, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and many dear friends.
He grew up in the Seymour area and lived in Webster County his entire life. He had his own business doing logging and cutting firewood for many years. In his spare time he liked messing with his old cars and loved being outdoors where he hunted for arrowheads and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He cherished the time he spent with his family, friends, and his dogs.
Eddie was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and a good friend and neighbor and was always ready to help anyone in need. We celebrate his life and accomplishments and will cherish the precious memories he created for all who knew and loved him.
Services are 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 12, 2010 in Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Seymour, with Reverend Phillip Cook officiating. Burial will be in Goss Cemetery south of Seymour. Visitation will be 7-8:00 p.m., Thursday in the funeral home. memorial contributions may be made in his name in care of the funeral home at P.O. Box 366, Seymour, Missouri 65746.
