He lived most of his life in Laclede County and had worked as a farm hand and doing other jobs throughout the years. He was kind of a “Jack of all trades”. He also raised bees and collected and sold the honey. After he and Vera were married, they made their home in the Falcon community.
Charles had attended Sunnyview Baptist Church and had sung in various other churches around the area. He had a great love for gospel music and had a very nice singing voice.
In his spare time he liked to be outdoors where his favorite activities were hunting and fishing. He also liked to grow beautiful flowers and take care of his yard. His family was very important to him and he especially enjoyed all of his grandchildren.
Charles was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and know that his family and friends will treasure the wonderful memories he made for them during his lifetime.
