Charles G. Keesling (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Charles Gayford Keesling, son of Charles M. and Iva Mae Williams Keesling, was born February 26, 1934, near Conway, Missouri. He departed this life Thursday, December 10, 2015, in Mineral Wells Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, in Mineral Wells, Texas, at the age of eighty-one years, nine months, and fourteen days.
Early in his life he was united in marriage to Kimiko Tomita, who passed away on July 13, 1974.
On August 23, 1975, he was married to Ellen Ingle, and they shared the last forty years.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Bille Maxine.
Charles is survived by his wife, Ellen, of the home; four daughters, Nancy Howell, Janet Powell, both of Atlanta, Georgia, Terri Santifer, of Graham, Texas, and Felecia Carmony, of Texarkana, Texas; two sons, Garry Allen, and Sammy Allen, both of Mineral Wells, Texas; a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a brother, Jack Keesling, and his wife, Charlene, of Springfield, Missouri; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was raised in the Morgan community, and graduated from Lebanon High School in the Class of 1952. He then joined the United States Air Force in 1953, and served his country faithfully just after the Korean War. After being honorably discharged from the military, he made his home in Wichita Falls, Texas where he worked for Sprague Electronics. He then worked for General Dynamics in Camden, Arkansas for a several years until retiring. He made his home in the Lebanon, Missouri area for awhile and then moved to Mineral Wells, Texas where he and Ellen made their home.
In his spare time he enjoyed bowling, fishing, and playing golf. He loved baseball and was a fan of the Texas Rangers.
Charles was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and know that he will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
