Charles Peterson's Obituary
Charles H. Peterson Jr., son of Charles H. Sr. and Agnes Irene (Henry) Peterson, was born July 3, 1938, in Lander Wyoming. He departed this life Monday, June 20, 2011, in his home near Hartville, Missouri, at the age of seventy-two years, eleven months and seventeen days.
He was preceded in death by his parents and step-father, Bill Gordon.
Charles is survived by his children, Charles Peterson, III, Theresa Turner and Decinda Holt, his sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Bob Clift, of Marshfield, Missouri, a number of grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
Born in Wyoming, and at the age sixteen the family moved to Tipton, Missouri where he graduated from high school. He later entered the United States Army where he served his country faithfully and was Honorably Discharged on February 17, 1960. He returned to Wyoming, married, and later in his life moved to Wright County, where he has lived since. Throughout the years he worked in auto mechanics and farm work.
Charles was of the Protestant Faith. He centered his life around his family, friends, caregivers, and his home.
Charles was a kind and caring person, he will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
GRAVESIDE Services for Charles will be at 11 AM Thursday June 30, 2011 in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, Missouri.
