Charles D Pinkston (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Charles Dewayne Pinkston, son of Charles and Betty Jo Franks Pinkston, was born April 21, 1955, in Calico Rock, Arkansas. He departed this life Friday, June 17, 2016, in his home, near Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of sixty-one years, one month, and twenty-six days.
On July 27, 1974, in Mountain View, Arkansas, he was united in marriage to Iva Mae Acklin and they shared the last forty-two years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sons, James Larger, and Travis Spence.
Charles is survived by his wife, Iva, of the home; two daughters, Delaine Pinkston, and Tony Bracy, of Eldridge, Missouri, and Janet Gregory, of Lebanon, Missouri; four sons, Stacy Wilson, and his wife, Candice, of Lebanon, Missouri, Kindle Pinkston, and his wife, Holly, of Stoutland, Missouri, Paul Pinkston, and his wife, Jennifer, and David Larger, all of Lebanon, Missouri; fifteen grandchildren; a sister, Dvonne Acklin, of Yates Center, Kansas; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was born and raised in Calico Rock, Arkansas and attended school there. In 1978, he and Iva moved to Yates Center, Kansas, where Charles worked drilling oil wells. In 1985, the family moved to Lebanon, Missouri, and Charles worked as a welder for Lowe Boats for thirty years.
Charles had made his profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Union Mission Church in Lebanon.
In his spare time he enjoyed being outdoors where his favorite activities were fishing and hunting. He greatly enjoyed spending time with his family and was especially fond of his grandchildren. He and Iva enjoyed a special relationship and enjoyed each other’s company.
Charles was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and know that his family and friends will treasure the wonderful memories he made for them during his lifetime.
