Charles Robinett's Obituary
On Saturday afternoon, June 23, 2012 our Father God called his humble servant Charles Eugene Robinett home from Mercy Hospital, Springfield, Missouri, at the age of seventy-seven years, six months and five days.
Paul and Leone Robinett were blessed to call Charles their son, and lovingly raised him in the Hartville area. He graduated from Hartville High School in 1952. On November 23, 1955 he married the love of his life, Donna Darlene Rennaker and to this union one son and two daughters were born. The young couple made their home in Mountain Grove for four years, and then moved to the Seymour area, where they settled down to raise their family.
Charles found favor in working hard to provide for his family. He taught this work ethic to his children and gave them a firm foundation in serving the Lord. A life-long Christian, Charles served as a Deacon for the Seymour First Baptist Church, sang in a gospel-quartet, and lived his faith. He enjoyed camping and fishing, and spending the evening singing along with the Gaither’s. He took time to be with his family, supported them, encouraged them and loved them.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife of forty-four years, Donna Robinett, his parents, and his sister Lucy Anne.
Charles is survived by his son Eugene Robinett and wife Jennifer of Springfield, MO; his daughters Brenda Childress and husband Reverend Rex Childress of Marshfield, MO, and Paula Brumley and husband Curt of Eugene, MO; his grandchildren LaDonna Benton and husband Jeff, Angie Carter and husband Kody, Tiffany LeRiche and husband Jason, Travis Childress and wife Ashlie, Hunter Brumley and Camryn Brumley; his great-grandchildren Jordan, Riley, Lilly, Mason, Noah, Alissa, Parker, and one on the way; his brother-in-law Donald Rennaker; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and many other dear family and friends.
A loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and a caring neighbor and friend; Charles Robinett leaves behind a legacy of love. Although we miss him dearly, we take comfort in the truth through our Lord Jesus, that we will meet again. He fought the good fight, and finished his race, Charles Robinett kept the faith.
