His parents preceded him in death.
Charlie, as he was called by his family and friends, is survived by his loving wife of forty-two years, Frances, of the home; a daughter, Tracey Boucher, and her husband, Goel, of Lebanon, Missouri; two sons, Jim Barker, and his wife, Amanda, of Cape Fair, Missouri, and Greg Barker, of Lebanon, Missouri; three grandchildren, Nick, Katrina, and Taryn; three brothers, Carl Barker, and his wife, Elvia, of the State of California, Howard Barker, and his wife, Donna, and Robert Barker, all of Lebanon, Missouri; three sisters, Patty Lambertson, Sandy Buntton, both of Lebanon, Missouri, and Connie Simpson, and her husband, Ronnie, of the State of California; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was born near Marshfield, Missouri, and then moved to California with his family when he was a young child. After graduating from high school, he worked at the Ridgley Horse Ranch for eighteen years. In 1986, the family moved to Lebanon, Missouri, where Charlie worked for Allen’s Linen Company for seventeen years. He had been employed by Tracker Marine in Lebanon for the last thirteen years, retiring only because of health reasons.
Charlie had attended Grace Calvary Full Gospel Church in Lebanon.
In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, playing poker and other card games, and watching horse and car races. He had a delightful sense of humor and a very special grin that indicated he was up to something. His family was very important to him and he liked visiting his sisters, and having special times with his grandchildren.
Charlie was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and know that his family and friends will treasure the wonderful memories he made for them during his lifetime.
A memorial has been established to the Eureka Cemetery and can be left at Holman-Howe Funeral Home.
