Charlotte Peebles' Obituary
Mrs. Charlotte Bea Peebles, age 62 of Bolivar, quietly and peacefully went home to be with her Lord and Savior, with loving family by her side, on Thursday morning, November 3, 2011 at Citizen?s Memorial Hospital in Bolivar, Missouri after a courageous fight with cancer. As He called her home He left us the gift of our many memories.
She was born January 25, 1949 in Springfield, Missouri, the daughter of C. Floyd Bethurem and Wilma Annabelle (Bench) Bethurem.
Charlotte was a self-employed Interior Decorator for many years and was a member of the Church On The Hill (Church Of God Holiness) in Stockton, Missouri. On September 21, 1995 she married Roger Allen Peebles in Quapaw, Oklahoma.
If you were to describe Charlotte in one word it would be ?angel?. Her deep caring and conviction for young girls in distress prompted her to establish ?Charlotte Peebles Angel House? for mothers-to-be that needed a helping hand. Charlotte was so much to so many. A listening ear, a soothing voice, a caring heart, a helping hand, a healing hug, and a cheerful smile.
Charlotte is survived by her husband; Roger of the home, her son; Matthew Dwight Murray of Bolivar, MO., two daughters; Angela Darlene Rhoten of Bolivar, MO., Rebecca Anne Reynolds of Bolivar, MO., her parents; Floyd & Wilma Bethurem of Springfield, MO., two stepsons; Scott Peebles of California, Justin Peebles of Stevens Point, WI., two brothers; Dwight (Janice) Bethurem of Springfield, MO., Keith (Patty) Bethurem of Rogersville, MO., a sister; Leta Jane Massengale of Rogersville, MO., 5 grandchildren; Jessica Glenn, Abbey (Brandon) Marshall, Alex Cotter, Lacey Rhoten, Gabriel Reynolds and four great grandchildren; Joseph Gerdes, Isabella Swihart and Gavin and baby Marshall.
A visitation will be held on Monday, November 7, 2011 from 6:00-7:00pm at the Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar, MO. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am, Tuesday at the Church On The Hill (Church Of God Holiness) in Stockton, MO. with Pastor Garald Pugh officiating. Graveside services will be held at 2:00pm, Tuesday afternoon at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery just South of Springfield, MO.
