Cheryl "Cheri" Ratterree's Obituary
Cheryl Lynn “Cheri” Ratterree, daughter of LaVern E. and Bonnie J. McBride Hannan, was born September 15, 1962 in Jackson County, Missouri. She departed this life Tuesday, May 29, 2012 in the Texas County Memorial Hospital, Houston, Missouri, at the age of forty-nine years, eight months, and fourteen days.
On December 22, 1979, Cheri was united in marriage to James Leo Ratterree and together they shared nearly twenty-one years of marriage until James’ passing on November 1, 2000.
Cheri was also preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her son, Joseph J. Ratterree and wife Roxie of Mountain Grove, Missouri; grandchildren, Elijah and Kenaniah Ratterree; her sister, Judi Krossman and husband Richard of the state of Arizona; her niece, Jennifer and nephews. Jeremy and Nathan; her aunt Louise Drepps of Springfield, Missouri and her children, Karen Uhr and Kevin Drepps; as well as a host of other relatives and many friends.
Cheri was born in Jackson County, Missouri and spent most of her life in the Mountain Grove, Missouri area. She had a fondness for all animals and was a member of the local FFA at Mountain Grove High School during her younger years. Cheri attended the Union Chapel Freewill Baptist Church when able.
In her spare time, Cheri enjoyed gardening and painting, and one of her favorite sayings was “Love Conquers All.” Cheri was a strong and caring woman and was very dedicated to her family. We celebrate her life and accomplishments and will cherish the many wonderful memories she has created for her family and many dear friends.
GRAVESIDE SERVICES for Cheri will be held at 1:00 pm Friday June 1, 2012 in the Hopewell Cemetery.
