Cheryl Joki's Obituary
Cheryl Dean Joki, daughter of Clifford and Dorothy Mary (Gilley) Cooper, was born October 14, 1953, in Mansfield, Missouri. She departed this life Tuesday, June 5, 2007, in Southern Hills Medical Center, in Nashville, Tennessee, at the age of fifty-three years, seven months, and nineteen days. On June 6, 1976 she was united in marriage to Reginald Joki and to this union two sons were born. She was preceded in death by her mother; and a sister, Carole Bradley. Cheryl is survived by her husband, Reg, of the home; two sons, Eric Joki, and his wife, Dana, and Ryan Joki, and his wife, Emily, all of Nashville, Tennessee; a grandson, Ethan Joki, of Nashville, Tennessee; her father, Clifford Cooper, of Mansfield, Missouri; a sister, Charlotte Pitt, and her husband, Shawn, of St. Louis, Missouri; a brother-in-law, Larry Bradley, of Omaha, Nebraska; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She was born and raised in Mansfield where she graduated from Mansfield High School in the Class of 1971. Then in 1975 she graduated from Southwest Missouri State University and attended St. John’s Nursing School. Cheryl had made her profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Mansfield Presbyterian Church. In her spare time she enjoyed collecting antiques and growing beautiful flowers in her garden. Cheryl was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and aunt and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and accomplishments and will cherish the wonderful memories she has created for her family and many friends. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 8, 2007, in the Mansfield Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in the Hensley Cemetery, north of Mansfield. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 7 - 8:00 p.m. under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Mansfield, Missouri.
