Chester Leland Dame (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Chester Leland Dame, son of Catherine (Clemmons) Dame and the late Burl Dame, was born on July 25, 1958 in Buffalo, MO and departed this life on February 12, 2026 at his home near Tunas, MO. At the time of his passing he was 67 years, six months, and 16 days of age. Chester was raised and attended school in Dallas County. He spent more time in the woods and on the water than in school, always saying school wasn’t for him. He worked several jobs throughout his life but spent most of his working life in the oil fields as a truck driver. He enjoyed drinking coffee, smoking cigarettes and watching FOX News. Chester loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren as often as he could. He was a hard worker and always hated asking anyone for help. Chester was preceded in death by his father and one sister, Karen Garcia. He is survived by his two daughters, Courtney Dame and Taylor Dame; two sons, Jeremy Dame and Jaime & wife Amanda Richardson; his mother, Catherine Dame; one brother, Robert Dame; one sister, Tammy Dame; nine grandchildren, Alex, Dustin, Don, Kale, Karson, Ana-Leigh, Sapphire, Hagen, and Hadlee; and four great-grandchildren. He also leaves several nieces, nephews, other family members, and a few close friends who will all truly miss him. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 in the Flatwoods Church with Bro. Thomas Clemmons officiating. Interment will be in the Flatwoods Cemetery under the care and direction of the Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Monday at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Funeral Home.
