Chlorine Janette Hudson (Hartville)'s Obituary
Chlorine Janette Hudson, daughter of Ivan and Grace Hightower Kelsay, was born on March 6th, 1938 in Wright County, Missouri. She departed this life on September 5, 2016 in Springfield, Missouri at the age of seventy-eight years, five months and thirty days.
On November 26th, 1955 Janette was united in marriage to Darrell Efton Hudson, where they spent the last sixty years of their lives together, and to this union three sons were born.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ivan and Grace Kelsay, and her sister Sandra Kelsay.
Janette is survived by her husband, Darrell Efton Hudson of the home; three sons, Ronnie Hudson and his wife Brenda of Hartville, Missouri, Randy Hudson and his wife Sharon of Hartville, and Dennis Hudson and his wife Candy of Hartville, Missouri; one brother, Robert Kelsay and his wife Betty of Mountain Grove, Missouri; two sisters, Vina Bass of Hartville, Missouri, and Judy Dugger of Hartville, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Misty Gray and her husband Chris, Nathan Hudson, Preston Hudson and his wife Shawna, Shawnette Jones and her husband Charley, Dana Pedersen and her husband Jared, Shannon Hudson, Jamie Hudson, and Carl Hudson and his wife Jamie; three step-grandchildren, Jamison Conner, Keesha Strong, and Sabrina Aldridge and her husband Bud; 12 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Janette was born and raised near the Coon Creek area where she went to school. She professed her faith in Christ at a young age at Coon Creek Freewill Baptist Church where she attended every Sunday as a child. She is now a member of the Elk Creek Baptist Church and is very active in their ministries.
She was involved in several organizations and clubs including TOPS and Red Hat. Janette loved to cook, crochet, feeding her calves and milking her cows. She adored cooking for other people, especially everyone’s favorite rolls. She loved feeding and taking care of people and was a mother to everyone she met. She never met a person that she didn’t like.
Janette was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. We celebrate her wonderful life and accomplishments and will always cherish the many happy memories.
