Christina “Tina” Marie Wilkerson Hodges, daughter of James Ross and Dorothy F. Temple Wilkerson, was born November 28, 1960, in a doctor’s office in Bolivar, Missouri. She departed this life Sunday, January 16, 2011, in her home, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of fifty years, one month, and eighteen days.
On August 20, 1988, Tina was united in marriage to Daniel Gwen Hodges, her one and only true love, who preceded her in death from cancer after only two years and nine months of marriage.

She was always very proud of being born the day after her paternal grandfather’s birthday, and being named after him. They celebrated their birthdays as well as Thanksgiving together with all their families many times.
Tina is survived by three brothers, Harold Lee Wilkerson, of Shreveport, Louisiana, David Wilkerson, of Willard, Missouri, and Daryl Wilkerson, and his wife, Janet, of Lebanon, Missouri; two sisters, Lola Faye Hallman, of Willard, Missouri, and Rebecca Foster, and her husband, John, of Shreveport, Louisiana; her nieces and nephews, Michael, Rachal, Sonny, Lauren, Shawn, Chreston, and Autumn; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

She graduated from Northwood High School in the Class of 1978, and then attended Shreveport –Bossier Vo-Tech School for eighteen months, graduating in May of 1982. She took her State Boards in New Orleans, Louisiana and became a Licensed Practical Nurse. She was a practicing nurse for fifteen years before injuring her back, which ended her career. Tina continued to live in Louisiana until moving to Missouri in March of 2003.
She always enjoyed cooking, reading, making crafts, sewing, crocheting, and helping others. She was always helping others and many times allowed them to take advantage of her. As Tina was never blessed with children of her own, her family became extremely important to her and she always enjoyed family gatherings.
Tina was a loving sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of her family and many friends.
