Christine Stiltz (Camdenton)'s Obituary
Christine Stiltz, 72, of Urbandale, Iowa, passed away Thursday, January 16, 2025 at Morning Star Assisted Living & Memory Care at Jordan Creek in West Des Moines, Iowa. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.caldwellparrish.com
Christine was born on August 25, 1952 to Charles “Tony” and Ive (Mallett) Schroeder and graduated from Parkway Central High School in St. Louis, MO, in 1970.
Chris married the love of her life, David Stiltz, on November 16, 1974, after meeting while working together at Tan Tar A Resort at the Lake of the Ozarks. They were blessed with 50 wonderful years of marriage, filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories.
Chris loved her horses, dogs and cats. The family enjoyed swimming, boating and water skiing at the Lake of the Ozarks since the 1960’s. Hobbies and activities included crocheting, pottery, antiquing, travel and collecting shells at the beach. Chris loved spending time with her extended family. She was active in the church and came to know Jesus Christ as her personal lord and savior. Everyone loved her smile.
Chris worked at several jobs throughout her life, most notably as the office manager at Asgrow Seed Company in Perry, Iowa. She took great pride in her work and retired when the plant closed in 2000.
Chris was preceded in death by her mother, father, sister Antoinette "Toni" Reeves, and nephew Drew Reeves.
She is survived by her devoted husband David; son Anthony "Tony" Stiltz; grandchildren Katey Stiltz-Walsh and Elijah Stiltz; sister Lynn Schroeder; aunt Phyllis Cross; 21 nieces and nephews; numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and many dear friends.
A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 10, 2025 at Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m., in the funeral home. Interment will take place at Dale Blair Memorial Cemetery in Camdenton, Missouri. Arrangements are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home.
