Christopher "Chris" Ambrose (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Christopher “Chris” Jordan Ambrose, age 37, of Elkland, Missouri, entered into rest on Sunday, November 12, 2023.
Chris was born on January 18, 1986, in Olathe, Kansas to Christopher Dale Ambrose and Debra Jo (Greenhaw) Strain. To his family, Chris was more than a loyal son and brother, more than a proud father and husband, he was their guiding light. His love for the lake, especially Pomme de Terre, mirrored his love for his life, serene, deep, and boundless. But it was his connection with fast cars that truly set his soul on fire. “Bad Betty” the Nova, was more than a machine; it was a testament to the bond that Chris shared with his father, a tangible symbol of their shared craftsmanship and passion.
Chris was the master of velocity, not just in the cars he cherished but in the way he lived. He would modify anything that burned gas making it faster, yet his heartbeat was a pace of kindness and generosity. His daughter, Krislyn, held a special place in his heart, a bond that defined the very essence of his being.
He was a fixer, creator, and a breaker of boundaries. His knack for repairing anything, and riding, anything was a metaphor for his approach to life, a relentless pursuit of improvement and restoration.
His adventures to Las Vegas, alongside his wife Kerrie and brother Cody, were moments etched in joy, laughter, and camaraderie. Those trips were the canvas where his love for life painted its most vibrant hues.
Chris, you might be gone from our sight, but your essence, your laughter, and your unyielding spirit will never be forgotten. Rest now dear friend, beside your father, knowing that your legacy of love and kindness remains in our hearts forever.
Chris was preceded in death by his father Christopher Ambrose, mother and father-in-law David and Lynn Fielder, grandpa Edgar Leroy Wright, grandparents in law Bill and Ann Harmon, and brother-in-law Davie Fielder. He is survived by his wife, Kerrie Ambrose, daughter Krislyn Ambrose, mother Debra Strain, brothers Josh Parris (Elle), and John Cody Cox, step-fathers Russell Strain and Larry Cox, nephews Tristan and Tanner, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and beloved friends.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, November 17, 2023, at Calvary Chapel Church in Buffalo, Missouri with Pastor Mark Elliot officiating. Funeral escorts will be Josh Parris, Cody Cox, Russell Strain, Eric Roberts, Corey Dalton-Inman, and Josh Cowden. Chris will be laid to rest at Reynolds Chapel Cemetery near Buffalo, Missouri.
Arrangements are under the direction of Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home, Buffalo.
