Christy (Elliott) Cooper (Mansfield)'s Obituary
Christy Diane (Elliott) Cooper, daughter of Floyd Ellis and Donnis Lee Ross Elliott, was born February 19, 1960, in Sikeston, Missouri, and departed this life on June 26, 2016, near Mansfield, Missouri, at the age of fifty-six years, four months and seven days.
She was united in marriage to Ronnie Carter and to this union one son, Michael, was born. She married Randy Harris and to this union one son, Joey, was born. She married Chuck Cooper several years later and he preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her father, Floyd, sister, Jo Ellen and a nephew, Marc Brazeal.
Christy is survived by two sons, Michael Carter and wife, Sarah, and Joey Harris; her mother, Donnis Elliott, all of Mansfield, Missouri; grandchildren, Brianna Carter, Kailey Loyd, Preston Johnson, Lane Cardin, Chase Harris and Carly Harris; special nephew, Jack Brazeal, whom she thought of a grandson.
She was born in Sikeston and moved with her family to Mansfield in the early 1970s. She was a graduate of the Mansfield High School Class of 1978 and worked at Tobin-Hamilton Shoe Factory for 10 years as well as working with Chuck at the license bureau in Ava.
Christy made a profession of faith in Christ and attended Mansfield First Baptist Church.
In her spare time she enjoyed fishing, antiques, and shopping but spending time with her grandkids was the joy of her life.
Christy was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, aunt and a very caring person. We celebrate her life and will cherish the many good memories we had together.
