Chyanne Nicole Kastning (Seymour)'s Obituary
A precious daughter, an adored big sister, a treasured granddaughter, a much-loved niece and cousin, an adored girlfriend, a devoted friend, a Chiari Warrior, a medical miracle – Chyanne Nicole Kastning was born in Springfield, Missouri, on November 6, 1999, and departed this earthly life on October 17, 2020, at Cox South Medical Center in Springfield. She was twenty years, eleven months, and eleven days young.
She was raised in Seymour and was a graduate of the Seymour High School Class of 2018. Chyanne was an avid flute player, having started playing in fifth grade and throughout high school. After graduating, she worked at Price Cutter in Seymour before moving to Rogersville where she was currently employed at Taco Bell. She loved dogs, cats, and horses, and wanted to rescue any animal in need. Chyanne absolutely loved being a big sister. She loved to pull pranks on anyone – no matter who you were. She was a huge tomboy who loved hunting and fishing; outdoors was her favorite place to be. She loved to wrestle and horse-play; she did not let her illness take her down. If she had a bad day or didn’t feel well, no one knew it – she never complained. Her spirit and her smile could light up any room.
Chyanne leaves behind a broken-hearted family; her boyfriend, Jake Martin, of Rogersville; her parents, Lyle Kastning, of Seymour, and Ashley and Dustin Wesenberg, also of Seymour; two sisters, Mabel Kastning, and Lynden Dunlap; two brothers, James Kastning, and Liam Wesenberg; paternal grandparents, Scott and Janice Kastning; her aunt, Elizabeth and Darren Deain, of Greenwood, Missouri; two uncles, Scotty and Rachel Kastning, of Seymour, and Jason ‘Uncle Pooh’ Shehorn, of Lavonia, Georgia; seven cousins, Wyatt, Whitman, Kiley, Kaden, Amber, Hailey, and Jaxeson; great-aunts and uncles, and extended family.
Chyanne was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Benjamin Johnson, and Sherry and William Scott Cauble; great-grandparents, Lyle and Sonya Hood, Alice Hood, and Keith and Ida Kastning; and two cousins, Taylor Deain, and Michael Kastning.
Memorials may be made to the family and left at the funeral home.
