Cindy Lowe's Obituary
Cynda Lou “Cindy” Lowe, beloved first daughter of Billie J. and Virginia Rose (Scaggs) Johnson, was born May 18, 1947, Willow Springs, Missouri. She departed this life Monday, July 6, 2009 in St. John’s Regional Medical Center, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of sixty-two years, one month, and eighteen days. On August 11, 1987 she was united in marriage to John Dean “Jack” Lowe and together they lovingly spent almost thirteen years before his passing on May 23, 2000. She was also preceded in death by her husband; and step-father, who raised her, Roy Ader. Cindy is survived by her three children, Keri Doherty, of Arma, Kansas, Joe Harmon, and his wife, Lori, of Springfield, Missouri, and Shannon Thomas, and her husband, William, of Misawa, Japan; four step-children, Cynda Kissler, and her husband, Tim, of the state of Illinois, Kim Sayers, of the state of Iowa, Kelly Fleener, and her husband, Jerry, and Dean Lowe, all of the state of Illinois; a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her mother, Virginia Ader, of East Moline, Illinois; two sisters, Sherry Johnson, of the state of Connecticut, and Stacey Higham, of the state of Colorado; many nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and many dear friends. She was born in Willow Springs and later moved with her family to Springfield, Missouri. They then moved to East Moline, Illinois, where she married and lovingly raised her family. After she met and married Jack they lived in many different places in Illinois and Missouri, after he passed away she then moved to Hartville. She worked many years as an Optometrist Assistant and also had a babysitting business in her home. Cindy had made her profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Ben Davis Church of Christ. In her spare time she enjoyed drinking coffee with friends at the café, scrap booking, reading and loved collecting and shopping for antiques. Cindy was a kind and caring person with a big heart. We celebrate her life and accomplishments and will cherish the wonderful memories she has created for her family and friends. Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday July 11, 2009 at the Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Hartville. Burial will be in the Coppening Cemetery. Visitation is Friday evening 7-8:30pm at the funeral home under the direction of the Holman-Howe Funeral Home Hartville, Missouri. Return to top
