Clara Jinks' Obituary
Clara Mae Jinks, daughter of Elva and Alta Gourley Williams, was born July 6, 1920, near Morgan, Missouri. She departed this life Thursday, June 7, 2007, in her home, in Conway, Missouri, at the age of eighty-six years, eleven months, and one day. In November of 1937, she was united in marriage to Mitchel E. Jinks, and to this union two daughters were born. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Mitchel, in 1987; a daughter, Vula Beard, in 1989; three brothers, Alfred and Lloyd Williams, and an infant; and two sisters, Wilma (Green) Routh, and Patsy Williams. Clara is survived by her daughter, Vera Rifenburg, and her husband, Lawrence, of Conway, Missouri; four grandchildren, Danny Prock, and his wife, Mary, Tony Prock, and his wife, Angie, Larry Rifenburg, and his wife, Donna, and Karen Garret, and her husband, Chris; eleven great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Beulah Mayab, of Conway, Missouri, Lillian Mayab, of Grovespring, Missouri, and Sue Tabit, of Chillicothe, Ohio; a brother-in-law, Lester Jinks, and his wife, Flossie, of Grovespring, Missouri; two sisters-in-law, Pauline Jemes, of the State of Oklahoma, and Delores Jinks, of Grovespring, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She was born in the Morgan community, and then lived most of her life in the Grovespring area in Wright County, Missouri. In addition to being a devoted homemaker to her husband and family, Clara also worked at the M.F.A. Grocery Store for fifteen years, and she and Mitchel owned and operated a gas station in Grovespring. Clara made her profession of faith in Christ early in her life and was a longtime member of Little Vine Church. Clara’s family and friends were very important to her daily living for Christ and she never let anyone down. In her spare time she enjoyed sewing, quilting, and doing embroidery projects. She also liked working in her garden where she grew many beautiful flowers. She loved her family dearly and especially enjoyed all of her grandchildren. Clara was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 11, 2007, in the Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Lebanon. Burial will be in the Little Vine Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home at their convenience. Memorials to St. John's Hospice or Little Vine Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund may be made through the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon, Missouri.
