Clarence Dwight Malin's Obituary
Clarence Dwight Malin, son of Robert Edgar and Annie Leona Howe Malin, was born July 6, 1925 in Springfield, Missouri. He departed this life Wednesday, November 28, 2007, in his home in Scottsdale, Arizona, at the age of eighty-two years, four months, and twenty-two days. On August 18, 1947, in Columbia, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Barbara F. Rupard, and to this union three sons and one daughter were born. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Gene and Bob Malin, and one sister, Virginia Smith. Dwight is survived by his wife, Barbara, of the home; three sons, Bob Malin, and his wife, Carol, of Phoenix, Arizona, David Malin, and his wife, Joan, of Scottsdale, Arizona, and Matt Malin, and his wife, Stephanie, of Fresno, California; and one daughter, Rita Judd, and her husband, Michael Judd, of Columbia, Missouri; five grandchildren, Michael, Richard, Jessica, Sarah, and Charlie; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. He was born in Springfield, Missouri but later moved with his family to the Stoutland area where he attended the Stoutland school. After he and Barbara were married they lived in various places including Cuba, Philadelphia, Boston, and the State of Virginia due to his military career. While serving in the Air Force, Dwight was stationed at Scott Air Force Base, Whiteman Air Force Base, Vandenburg, Air Force Base, and retired from KI, Sawyer, Michigan. In his spare time, he enjoyed cars, motorcycles, and action movies. Dwight was very proud of his family and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he made for his family and friends. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 2, 2007, in the Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Lebanon. Burial will be in the High Point Cemetery. Visitatioin will be held Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until service time. Services are under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon, Missouri. Return to top
