Clarence L Gould Sr. (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Clarence Lavon Gould, Sr. was born July 29, 1951 to Carl Gould, Sr. and Marie Beaty in Louisville, Alabama. He passed away Thursday, May 16, 2024 in Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach, Missouri. At the time of his passing, Clarence was seventy-two years, nine months and eighteen days of age.
Clarence was born and raised in Alabama and loved the Crimson Tide and Alabama football.
On October 2, 1971, he was united in marriage to his true love, Diana, and together they stood by each other through the joys and sorrows of life for over fifty-two years.
Clarence is survived by his loving wife, Diana, of the home; his children, Clarence L. Gould , Jr. and his wife Brianna of Phillipsburg, Missouri; five grandchildren, Samanthia Roberson and her husband Joe, Timothy Gould, Kaylee Gould, Seth Grimes and Liam Grimes; seven great-grandchildren, Brentley Gould, Benny Clark, Nevaeh Roberson, Paisley Gould, Zachary Roberson, Jade Roberson and Rylan Gould; and his siblings, Carl Gould, Jr., Mickey Gould and Bonnie Kochanski.
Following his schooling, Clarence moved to Illinois and began his career as a carpenter for twenty-seven years with his father-in-law. He was a member of the Carpenter’s Union in Chicago. Following his time in Illinois, he and Diana moved to Missouri to a farm in Phillipsburg where he raised cattle.
Clarence was a great husband, father and friend. He had a deep personal faith in Jesus Christ and would give the shirt off his back to anyone who needed it.
Although he was a very serious man, he had a wonderful sense of humor. He loved his family very much and always looked forward to spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They brought him so much pride and joy.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching drag racing on television, his favorite racer being John Force, as well as driving a car himself.
We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and know that his family and friends will treasure the wonderful memories he made for them.
