Clarence Veach's Obituary
Clarence Henry Veach, was born July 7, 1919 in Burlington, Kansas, the son of Henry Richard Veach and Ada Pearl Anderson Baker Veach. On January 17, 1940 he was married to Susie Irene Martin in Galena, Missouri. To this union two children were born, Jimmie Thomas and Norma Faye. On October 5, 1962 he was married to Ellen Nadine Adams, Kansas City, Missouri and was the father of two more children, Katharine Dian and Randy Wayne. Clarence served in World War II in the European Theatre with the Rainbow Division. After his discharge he returned home and farmed until the late 50's when he moved the family the Kansas City and worked as a carpenter until his retirement in 1983. In 1990, he and Ellen moved to Cloud 9 Ranch Camping Resort near West Plains, Missouri. Clarence was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and most of all his 4-wheeler. In 2005, they moved to Pleasant Hope, Missouri to be closer to family. Clarence was a member of Carpenter’s Local Union 61in Kansas City, a lifetime member of the VFW and a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Warrensburg, Missouri. He is survived by his wife, Ellen of the home, two sons, Jimmie and wife Paulette and Randy, both of Pleasant Hope, two daughters, Norma and husband Larry Julian, Crane, Missouri and Kathy Buck, Belton, Missouri. Two sisters, Frances Wingo, Sun City West, Arizona and Lucille Shipman, Bernie, Missouri, 18 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great- grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceeded in death by his parents, four brothers, Floyd Baker, Carl Veach, Arthur Veach, Wane Veach, three sisters, Lillie Craig, Mildred Henry, Irene Holstine, and one grandson, James Veach. A memorial service will be held at a later date and will be announced by Butler Funeral Home, Bolivar, Missouri.
