Claude said his life ambition was to be as good as he could get in the music business. Having received his first guitar at age nine, he worked as a self-taught musician and played various venues which included the talents of Buck Owens and Roy Rogers. He also enjoyed raising and caring for his hound dogs and hunting at night with them for raccoons, opossums and squirrels. His favorite dog was named “Old Blue”. Claude loved riding his motorcycle up in the Oregon mountains with his son Dan and brother Carol to hunt for bears. He also enjoyed going to flea markets and woodworking where he would carve and build things from scrap. He never saw a reason to throw away anything no matter its age. Other than music, his main past time was writing and he wrote many stories about his dreams, premonitions and his childhood adventures.
Early in life he claimed Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and attended Sunshine Pentecostal Church and followed the Pentecostal faith all of his life.
We love you, and we will all miss you!
