Claudia Mallard (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Claudia Mallard, age 93, formally of Charity, Missouri entered into rest on Monday, January 8, 2024, at the Baptist Home in Ozark, Missouri with her family by her side.
Claudia was born August 20, 1930, near Long Lane, Missouri to the late Ernest and Sylvia (Cline) Williams. Claudia attended school in Charity where she met Herbert Mallard, they were childhood sweethearts. Her family relocated to California in 1940 where she was later reunited with Herbert Mallard. They were married on March 19, 1949, in Upland, California, to this union two children were born, Cheryl and Steve. The family moved back to Missouri in September of 1966 where they operated a dairy and beef cattle farm near Charity until retirement. Claudia was a lifelong member of the Southern Baptist Faith.
Claudia was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, husband, and son in law. She is survived by her children, daughter Cheryl Gardner of Buffalo, Missouri, son Steve Mallard and wife Kim of Fair Grove, Missouri, she also leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members, and many friends who will all truly miss her.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home, Buffalo. Visitation will be held the evening prior from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Thorpe Cemetery.
