Claudine Vernon (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Claudine Vernon, daughter of George Dennis and Sada Milum Marshall, was born July 28, 1931, in Kansas City, Missouri. She departed this life Wednesday, May 5, 2010, in Windsor Estates in Camdenton, Missouri, at the age of seventy-eight years, nine months, and seven days.
On September 1, 1991, she married the love of her life, William Joseph “Bill” Vernon, and they happily shared sixteen years before Bill’s passing on October 9, 2007.
She was also preceded in death by her parents.
Claudine is survived by a brother, Kurt Marshall, and his wife, Margaret, of the State of Florida; a dear friend, Mike Conway, of Lebanon, Missouri; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri, where she graduated from high school. She continued to live in the Kansas City area until moving to Camden County in 1967. She worked at the Camden County Bank for several years, eventually becoming a loan officer. Later, she worked at First National Bank from 1986 until retiring in 1994.
Claudine was an independent woman with a mind of her own. She was steadfast in her convictions and always spoke her mind.
She was a gourmet cook, an avid bird watcher, and enjoyed crocheting in her spare time. She liked watching NASCAR races and playing cards with her friends.
Claudine will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all of her family and many friends.
