Claye Henson's Obituary
Claye Allen Henson, son of Warren Robert and Dorothy Jean Kuykendall Henson, was born January 14, 1952, in Stoutland, Missouri. He departed this life Friday, February 20, 2009, in his home in Stoutland, Missouri, at the age of fifty-seven years, one month and six days. On July 10, 1970, in Holbrook, Arizona, he was united in marriage to Janice Sue Earls and to this union two children were born. Together they shared the past thirty-eight years. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Robert Henson. Survivors include his loving wife, Jan Henson of the home; two children, Shawn Allen Henson and wife, Bobbie, and Jennifer Lee Burton; two grandchildren, Kamryn Lee Burton and Kaylee Nichole Henson, all of Stoutland, Missouri; two brothers, Roy Henson and wife, Lois, and Rick Henson and wife, Ellen; two sisters, Dorothy Wells and husband, Gene, and Evelyn Phillips, all of Stoutland, Missouri; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Claye was a life-long resident of Stoutland, Missouri, and a graduate of Stoutland High School. He owned and operated Ozark Sanitation then later became the General Manager of Waste Management of the Ozarks for several years. He was currently the owner and operator of Service Pro. He made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Freedom Church of Christ in Montreal. Claye loved cars and had been a member of the Cave-State Cruisers Car Club. He enjoyed working is his yard and always had a beautiful lawn. He was a huge baseball fan and especially liked the St. Louis Cardinals. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his granddaughters. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle and was a caring neighbor and friend. We are thankful for the many wonderful memories he created for his family and friends. Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday February 28, 2009 at the Freedom Church of Christ. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm until service time at the church under the direction of the Allee - Holman- Howe Funeral Home Camdenton, Missouri. A memorial has been established for the family and donations may be left at the funeral home. Return to top
