Clayton Farr's Obituary
Clayton Farr, son of Claude Vincent and Sybil Francis Evaline Day Farr, was born April 19, 1942 in Hartville, Missouri. He departed this life Friday, April 20, 2012 in his home, in Hartville, Missouri, at the age of seventy-years and one day.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Claude Richard Farr; two children who died in infancy, Clayton Farr, Jr., and Bambi Lynn Farr; and a sister, Teresa Hardin.
Clayton is survived by his children, Erik Farr and wife Cindy of Dora, Missouri, Stacy Farr-Molnar and husband Frank of Battlefield, Missouri, Twylla Farr of Springfield, Missouri, Colby Farr of Ontario, California, Evelyn Sudawn Farr of Paris, California, and Jason Kellogg of Riverside, California; sixteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; his siblings, Austin Farr and wife Gwen of Wilmington, North Carolina, Winston Farr and wife Debbie of Hartville, Missouri, Becky Street and husband Verdin of Rogersville, Missouri, Lana Hilt and husband Ronnie of Mountain Grove, Missouri, June Jones and husband Gayland of Macomb, Missouri; as well as a number of nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and many friends.
Clayton spent his younger years in the Norwood and Hartville areas. He attended OTC in Springfield and graduated with a degree in automotive mechanics. He worked at various jobs throughout the country, and owned and operated mechanic shops and gas stations in Wright and Douglas Counties for several years. Clayton returned to Hartville in 1992 to make his home.
Clayton was an avid coon hunter in his younger years and won many awards with his coonhounds. He was a NASCAR enthusiast and an avid gun trader. His dog, Digger, was truly his best friend.
Clayton was a caring father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and accomplishments and will treasure the many memories he has created for his family and many dear friends.
Graveside services for Clayton Farr will be at 2:00 PM Monday afternoon April 24 2012, at the Broyles Cemetery, Southeast of Hartville.
No visitation will be held.
