Cleo Mason's Obituary
Cleo Theodore Mason, age 86, of Bolivar, Missouri passed away on Tuesday morning, February 2, 2010 at Big Springs Care Center in Humansville, Missouri. He was born May 15, 1923 in Kirkwell, Colorado to Murray Ezra Mason and Ruby (Tabor) Mason. On July 18, 1942 he married Mary (Patee) Mason in Garden City, Kansas. She preceded him in death in November of 2003. Cleo was a Dehydrator and Welder for the El Paso Natural Gas Company and worked there for 34 years prior to retirement. He also served in the United States Navy during WW II. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Mary, four brothers, Herb, Marvin Eugene, L.J. and R.B. Mason, and his sister, Vera L. Ballard. Cleo is survived by his daughter, Darlene Joann Mason-Moore and her husband Scott of Farmington, NM, three brothers, Garland Mason and his wife Edith of Nevada, MO., Bobby Mason and his wife Jacci of Flemington, MO., Johnny Mason and his wife Ann of Lakin, KS., three sisters, Lois Tyler of Flemington, MO., Maxine Urena of Nevada, MO., Shirley Meek and her husband Larry of Hermitage, MO., and five grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 3:00pm, Friday, February 5, 2010 at the Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar, Missouri with Pastor Rick Walters officiating. The family will inter Cleo in New Mexico where he will buried next to his wife. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Cleo Mason to the charity of your choice.
