On May 27, 1967, he was united in marriage to Dolores M. Endicott, and to this union one daughter and one son were born.
His parents preceded him in death.
Clifford is survived by his loving wife of fifty years, Dolores, of the home; a daughter, Becky Lacy, and her husband, Dan, of Adrian, Missouri; a son, Jimmy Reed, of Garden City, Missouri; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Judy Gibson, of the State of Arizona, and Loretta Clark, of Bolivar, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was raised in the Kansas City, Missouri area, and then moved with his family to Eldon, Missouri, where he graduated from high school. He entered the military as a young man and served his country faithfully in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. After being honorably discharged from the Navy, he returned to the Kansas City area and began working for International Business Machines (IBM) for many years. Once he and Dolores were married, they made their home in the Raymore area and lovingly raised their children. In 2000, Clifford and Dolores moved to Lebanon, Missouri, and made their retirement home.
Clifford was an active member of Community Baptist Church near Lebanon. He was involved in the jail ministry, Sunday school, and many other phases of church work.
In his spare time he was an avid jogger, and liked fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed working in his garden. His family was very important to him and he especially enjoyed having time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Clifford was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and know that his family and friends will treasure the wonderful memories he made for them during his seventy-three years.
A memorial has been established to Community Baptist Jail Ministry and can be left at Holman-Howe Funeral Home.
