Clifton H. Mizer (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Clifton Herbert Mizer, 91, of Lebanon, passed away Thursday morning June 27, 2019 at Colonial Springs Healthcare Center in Buffalo, MO.
He was born May 25, 1928 in Laclede County Missouri to Herbert and Addie (Henson) Mizer.
On July 17, 1947 he married Berniece Brown in Rogers, Arkansas and to this union two children were born.
He was preceded in death by his wife Berniece on January 21, 2002; his parents; his in-laws Joe and Marie Brown; four brothers: Charles, Floyd, Gordon, and Don Mizer; two sisters: Florene Winfrey and Bernetia Mizer; a sister-in-law Louise Mizer; two brother-in-laws Louis Pulley and Jerry Johnson; and a special cousin Howard Mizer.
Clifton attended Flag Pond School and graduated from Phillipsburg High School Class of 1946. After he and Berniece were married, they traveled throughout the middle United States with his electrical business. They returned to Lebanon in 1966 and he operated a Pest Control business. In 1971, he established Mizer Mobile Home Sales. In 2005 after 34 years of sales and service to hundreds of customers, he retired. He and Berniece enjoyed traveling to the Caribbean, especially Aruba.
He is survived by a daughter Debbie Pendergraft (Bob) of Lebanon, a son Clif Mizer (Louana) of Denver, CO.; one sister Mary Lou Johnson of Springfield, MO; a sister-in-law Carol Mizer of Springfield, MO; a brother-in-law J. D. Brown (Mary) of Centralia, MO; Grandchildren: Laura Pendergraft, Highlandville, MO; Erin Bowman (Chris), Lebanon, MO; Joseph Mizer (Brigitta) Oklahoma City, OK; Great-Grandchildren: Carsyn Bowman, Mason Bowman and Tirzah Mizer. Also nephews, nieces, great-nephews and nieces, cousins and friends.
A private service is scheduled for a future date. No visitation is scheduled. Friends may call at their convenience.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital. Donations may be left at or mailed to Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Condolences may be sent to the family at P. O. Box 15, Lebanon, MO 65536.
