Clinton Ray Waters (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Clinton Ray Waters, son of Herschel L. and Crystal L. Moore Waters, was born June 28, 1953, in Lebanon, Missouri. He departed this life Tuesday, July 12, 2022, in his home, near Eldridge, Missouri, at the age of sixty-nine years, and fourteen days.
On June 22, 1974, he was united in marriage to Patricia Jones and to this union two sons were born.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Pati.
Clinton is survived by his loving wife of forty-eight years, Patricia, of the home; two sons, Shane Waters, and his wife, Kaycee, of Camdenton, Missouri, and Ryan Waters, and his wife, Lacy, of Fulton, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Drayton, Dallas, Saden, Madison, Rhett, Elizabeth, and Rylan; a sister, LaNita Bell, and her husband, Max, of Stoutland, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was raised in the area near Tunnell Dam, close to Camdenton, Missouri, where as a child he enjoyed playing in and around the Woolsey Creek. He graduated from Camdenton High School and later earned additional degrees from the University of Central Missouri and his Specialist Degree from Truman University. He began a career in education teaching Science with an emphasis in Biology and Chemistry at Green Ridge, Stoutland, and Highland high School, before being Principal in Silex and Elsberry. He finished out his prestigious career as a superintendent at Pierce City, Macks Creek, and retired from Houston High School. He enjoyed taking students to the International Science Fair.
He accepted Christ as his Savior when he was a young man and joined the Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church. He currently was a member of First Baptist Church in Lebanon where he sang in the choir.
After retiring he liked farming, fishing, hunting, gardening, traveling, camping, and growing beautiful flowers, particularly orchids. He raised Angora rabbits, spun wool and was highly decorated at county fairs. He liked making candy, cheese, butter, bread, and decorating gourds. He enjoyed collecting Roy Rogers’s and other vintage memorabilia. His family was very important to him and he especially enjoyed having time with his grandchildren.
Clinton was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and was a caring friend. We celebrate his life and know that he will be fondly remembered as a dedicated family man, a caring and interesting teacher, a fair and concerned school administrator and a good friend to many.
A memorial to the cemetery has been established and donations may be made through the funeral home.
