Cllifton Lea Pippen (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Clifton Lea Pippen was born on December 7, 1950 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Monett, Missouri to Clifton and Marion (Lea) Pippen. He departed this life on January 31, 2020 at the age of 69 years.
C.L. graduated from Humansville High School in 1968. He then moved to Des Moines, Iowa where he attended Barber College.
On April 26, 1980 C.L. was united in marriage to Mary Phyllis Turner. To this union two children, Ashley Nicole and Preston Riley, were born. Later in life they began raising their grandson Tucker Riley.
He worked various jobs before starting with KAW Roofing and Sheet Metal in Kansas City, Kansas in the late 1970’s. He retired from there in 2005.
After retirement, C.L. and Phyllis moved back to Southern Missouri. C.L. spent his retirement enjoying target practice, woodworking in his shed, and watching Chiefs football.
C.L. was preceded in death by his parents Clifton and Marion Pippen.
He leaves behind his wife of 39 years and 9 months, Phyllis; his children, Ashley and husband Steven, Preston and wife Shelby, grandson, Tucker; two sisters, Myra Pippen and Lisa Whitney and partner Michael Davis; several nieces and nephews, and three great-nieces.
C.L. was a great husband, dad, and grampa. He will be missed greatly by all who knew him.
Memorial Services will be Saturday, February 8, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. in the Cantlon Otterness & Viets Funeral Home in Urbana, Missouri with Pastor Mike Puckett officiating.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Friday, February 7, 2020.
In lieu of flowers memorials maybe made to the American Cancer Society.
