Cloda Hendrickson (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Cloda G. Hendrickson, 93, of Bolivar, MO passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at Citizens’ Memorial Health Facility in Bolivar, MO.
Cloda was born November 8, 1924 to Tillman and Ellen Pearson Garland. As the youngest of ten children, Cloda was named by her older sister, as her mother had supposedly run out of ideas for names. She had a pleasant personality, and could always be found humming or singing a tune.
Cloda met her husband, Charles, while he carried mail. She fell head over heels for him, which sparked a trip on foot from Springfield to Bolivar. She brought a friend on the trip, and the two eventually found a ride once they reached Slagle. Together, Charles and Cloda would have two children, Carol and Don.
Cloda is preceded in death by her loving husband Charles and her daughter Carol.
She is survived by her son, Don Hendrickson and wife Linda, and her granddaughter, Tracy McGrady. She is also survived by Tim McGrady, and her great grandchildren, Max McGrady, Jake McGrady, and Molly McGrady.
