Clyde Breneman's Obituary
Mr. Clyde Hershey Breneman, age 77, of Halfway, Missouri passed away Saturday, January 15, 2011 at his home in Halfway, Missouri.
He was born February 12, 1933 in Lancaster, PA. to Clayton L. Breneman and Daisy S. (Hershey) Breneman.
On February 16, 1952 he married Virginia I. Binkley in Lancaster, PA. After 50 years of marriage, she preceded him in death on January 16, 2002.
Clyde entered the United States Army in March of 1953 and served until March of 1955.
He was a mechanic and was ASE Certified as a master mechanic on June 30, 1986. He was involved with the Civil Defense River Rescue & Recovery in Pequea, Pa. He was a member of the Ozark Steam Engine Association and the Fundamental Baptist Church in Pleasant Hope, Missouri.
Clyde married Hazel Baker on January 8, 2005. He enjoyed antique tractors, repairing and rebuilding them, and won antique tractor pull awards. He was a great friend to all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Virginia, and a great granddaughter, Ava Johnson.
Clyde is survived by his wife of 6 years, Hazel Baker Breneman of the home, his four children, James L. Breneman, Cyndi A. Horner and her husband Joe, Stacey J. McWilliams and her husband Tom and Sue Ann Myers and her fianc? Mike all of York County, PA., six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00am, Thursday, January 20, 2011 at the Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar, Missouri with Pastor Donald Bybee officiating. Musical selections will be ?Amazing Grace? and ?The Old Rugged Cross? sung by Malinda Batten with Greg Ankrom playing the piano. Burial of Clyde?s ashes will be in Pennsylvania at a later date.
