Clyde Everand, Goodwin's Obituary
Clyde Everand Goodwin, son of Roy Lewellen and Pearl Elizabeth Aldrich Goodwin, was born April 10, 1937, in Barnet, Vermont. He departed this life Friday, March 17, 2006, in his home, in Seymour, Missouri, at the age of sixty-eight years, eleven months, and seven days. On March 13, 1969, he was united in marriage to Carolyn Kay Townsend, and to this union one daughter and one son were born. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Dorothy Butterfield; and a brother, Fred Tatro. Clyde is survived by a son, Kevin Goodwin, and his wife, Tina, of Long Lane, Missouri; a daughter, Casey Goodwin, and her fiancé, Thomas Schroeder, of Conway, Missouri; six grandchildren, Erica Goodwin, Adam Goodwin, Paige Goodwin, Austin Goodwin, Hayden Goodwin, and Rachel Schroeder; two brothers, Richard Sargent, of Glover, Vermont, and Roy Goodwin, of Lunenberg, Vermont; a sister, Roberta Baird, of Beckley, West Virginia; the mother of his children, Carolyn Wilson, of Monett, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. He was born and raised in Vermont and then moved to the Diggins, Missouri community. He worked as a forklift operator for the Hutchens Steel Processors Company from 1970 until retiring in 1999. For the last thirty-five years he had made his home in Seymour. Clyde had made his profession of belief in Christ and followed the Baptist faith. In his spare time he enjoyed going to swap meets, fishing, and reading the newspaper. He was an avid wrestling fan, and liked watching matches on television. His family was very important to him and he especially enjoyed his grandchildren. Clyde was a loving father, grandfather, brother, and uncle and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he made for his family and friends. Services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 21, 2006, in the Holman-Howe Chapel, Seymour. Burial will be in the Seymour Masonic Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Seymour, Missouri.
