Clyde R. Shore's Obituary
Clyde Robert Shore, son of Simon L. and Rosena Elsie Stube Shore, was born March 6, 1924, in Allagan, Michigan. He departed this life Saturday, December 16, 2006, in St. John’s Hospital, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of eighty-two years, nine months, and ten days. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Clifford Shore; and a sister, Ruby Crostwait. Clyde is survived by a daughter, Darlene Shrader, of Lebanon, Missouri; a grandson, Tim Jones, and his wife, Cindy, of Lebanon, Missouri; a special friend, Pauline Shore; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. He was born in Michigan and was raised in Michigan and Indiana. He served his country faithfully in the United States Army from March 11, 1943, until February 25, 1946, as part of the European Theater during World War II. In 1955, he moved to Missouri, and first made his home in the Grovespring community before moving to Lebanon. He had worked for the Jackson Used Car Dealership for a few years, and then was a truck driver for Lowe Boats for several years. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, and growing beautiful flowers in his yard. His family was very important to him and he was especially close to his daughter and grandson. Clyde was a loving daddy and papa, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and will treasure the memories he made for his family and friends Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 20, 2006, in the Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Lebanon. Burial will be in the Roper Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 7 - 8:30 p.m. under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon, Missouri. Memorials to the Roper Cemetery may be made through the funeral home.
