She departed this life Wednesday, January 31, 2007, in her home, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of seventy-seven years, three months, and four days. Her parents, and a brother, Ross Light, preceded her in death. Colleen is survived by a daughter, Judi Hough, of Springfield, Missouri; three brothers, Johnny Light, and his wife, Janey, of Lebanon, Missouri, Kenneth Light, and his wife, Pauline, of Muncie, Indiana, and Freeman Light, and his wife, Sue, of Raytown, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She was born and raised in the Oakland community, and graduated from Lebanon High School. She then made her home in the Lebanon area and lovingly raised her daughter. In addition to being a devoted homemaker, Colleen also worked in the data processing department at Laclede Electric Cooperative for several years. Later, she moved to Springfield, where she worked at the Clarion Hotel for a few years. Colleen made her profession of faith in Christ early in her life and was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. In her spare time she liked caring for her yard, going to garage sales, and reading. Her family was very important to her and she enjoyed spending time with her daughter, her brothers and their families. Colleen was a loving mother, sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and her accomplishments, and will cherish the wonderful memories she created for her family and friends.
