Colleen M. Pickering (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Colleen M. Pickering, age 73, of Aldrich, Missouri departed this life on Monday evening, August 6, 2012 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.
Colleen was born on December 27, 1938, the daughter of Harry Lee Cummings and Mary Leeilia Carver Cummings.
Colleen loved traveling with her daughter Karren, cooking for her family and grandchildren, and taking them to church. She was a member of the Aldrich United Methodist Church in Aldrich, Missouri. Her church family and neighbors were a blessing to her. Colleen always had a kind heart and loved to help others.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Leeilia Cummings, her husband, James W. Pickering who passed away on June 22, 2006, and their son, Steven James Pickering (age 12) who died in 1982.
She is survived by her daughter Karren Sue Bruce and her husband Steve of Fair Play, Missouri, her sister Joyce M. Harris and her husband Dan, and her brother Dale Lee Cummings all of Point Cedar, Arkansas; her grandchildren Karrie Bruce of Bolivar, Missouri, Lita Lea of Springfield, Missouri, step-granddaughter Michelle Slagle of Springfield, Missouri, step-grandson Michael Bruce and his wife Amy of Bolivar, Missouri; great-grandchildren Melayne and Sha’dae Bruce, step-great-grandchildren Jessica Bruce, Claire Bruce, Zach Bruce and Mary Grace Bruce, Katie Slagle and Derick Slagle, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
