Connie Baldwin (Bolivar )'s Obituary
Connie Baldwin, 79, of rural Flemington, died July 19, at Mercy Hospital, in Springfield, Missouri, following an automobile accident. She was the daughter of Russell and LaMoine Gourley Baldwin.
She served in the US Army for 3 years, then worked in the insurance industry, in Kansas City, retiring from Prudential. After retirement she worked as a teacher’s aide for special needs children until she moved back to Polk Co. to help care for her mother. She professed faith in Jesus Christ at Rondo Baptist Church as a teenager, and remained an active member there, serving as hostess at the time of her death. She was a devoted aunt and great aunt to her nieces and nephews, and helped them in any way she could.
She enjoyed traveling, and going to theaters with friends, at Stained Glass and Springfield Little Theater, as well as bowling in a winter league.
She is survived by a sister, Kay Pitts and her husband Bob, a brother Greg Baldwin, nephew Brian Pitts and wife Stephanie, nieces Kim McNeel and husband Joe, Melissa Baldwin and Sherry Michel and husband Jason. As well as great nieces and nephews, Leland, Emily and Becca Jones, Jordan & Brianna Pitts, Mariah Fuller and Trevon Brazile, Bryson & Kaden Montgomery.
