Connie Jewell Byerley (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Connie Jewel (Haney) Byerley was born Dec.8,1952 in Buffalo MO the daughter of William (Burley) and Ruby Jewel (Ball) Haney.
Connie passed away on January 13, 2025, at home surrounded by her husband Eric and son William Byerley.
Connie lived many places in her early years growing up, Buffalo, MO, Kansas City, MO, Topeka, Kansas, Roswell, NM, Lancaster, CA, then her family finally settled in San Diego, CA where she graduated High School and then met and married Eric.
On September 3, 1973, she was united in marriage to Eric Lee Byerley in San Diego, CA. They shared 51 years of married life as they traveled various places as Eric was in the Navy. While stationed in Scotland their daughter Rachael was born, then later stationed in Spain their son William was born. Once Eric retired from the Navy they settled in Battlefield, MO where they finished raising their children and laid to rest their infant son Charlie. Connie enjoyed her garden, chickens, going to their property and her family very much.
Connie is survived by her husband Eric; son, William; daughter, Rachael; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Ruby Haney; son, Charlie; and many relatives from both the Haney and Ball sides of her family.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 in the Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home with Dr. Jonathan Clark officiating. Escorts will be Matthew Van Den Handel, Matthew Grant, Chase Mitchell, Christopher Billedo, Mitch Brown, and William Byerley. Interment will be in the Powell Cemetery under the care and direction of the Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home of Buffalo. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Powell Cemetery Fund.
