Connie Carroll's Obituary
Constance Ann Carroll was born October 30, 1949 in Elmira, New York, the daughter of George Ray and Grace Mae Andrews McDougal. She departed this life Tuesday, November 13, 2007 in her home in Camdenton, Missouri at the age of fifty-eight years and fourteen days. She was preceded in death by her father. Survivors include a loving companion, Eddie Callahan of the home; her mother, Grace McDougal of Camdenton, Missouri; two children, Jim Thompson and his wife, Sierra, of Syracuse, New York and Sherri Thompson of Elmira, New York; three grandchildren, Corey Thompson, Conner Cobb and Katie Cobb; two sisters, Shirley Tomlinson and her husband, David, and Jan Weeks and her husband, Eddie, all of Camdenton, Missouri; three brothers, Kenneth McDougal and his wife, Sharon, of Frenchburg, Kentucky, George McDougal of Elmira Heights, New York and Jack McDougal of Abingdon, Maryland; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Connie was raised in Elmira, New York and was a graduate of Horseheads High School. She continued to live in New York and was employed by Corning Glass Works. She moved to the Lake of the Ozarks area in 1982, where she worked as a cook for Lake Regional Hospital and the Juvenile Detention Center. She made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Baptist Church in Elmira, New York. In her spare time, she enjoyed fishing and flowers. She was passionate about helping animals. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family. Connie was a loving companion, daughter, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate all she did during her life and will treasure her memory forever. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 16, 2007, in the Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Camdenton. Visitation will be held Friday from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Memorials to the Dogwood Animal Shelter may be made through the funeral home. Return to top
