Connie Dudley's Obituary
Connie Laverne Dudley, daughter of Clarence L. and Retha Geneva Napier Cornelison, was born May 31, 1952 in Springfield, Missouri. She departed this life, Thursday, December 6, 2007 in Cox Medical Center South, Springfield, Missouri at the age of fifty-five years, six months, and six days. On July 6, 1996, Connie was united in marriage to John J. Dudley and together they have shared the last eleven years. Connie was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Jesse and Lloyd Cornelison; and two sisters, Ruby Higgins and Dorthy Turner. She is survived by her husband, John, of the home; a son, Lee Harris, of Seymour, Missouri; a daughter, Jill Kimball and her husband, Gene, of Seymour, Missouri; two step-daughters, Tammy Dudley and her husband, David, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, and Jennifer Callaway and her husband, Clint, of Niangua, Missouri; her grandchildren, Brian and Randy Kimball, Kerry and Aaron Harris, Amber and Matt Dudley, and Jaycee and Ashtyn Callaway; a great-granddaughter, Jo Clegg-Kimball; one sister, Sue Duvall, of Springfield, Missouri; two brothers, Joe Cornelison and his wife, Nancy, of Marshfield, Missouri, and Bob Cornelison of Springfield, Missouri; a sister-in-law, Donna Cornelison, of Strafford, Missouri; a brother-in-law, Bud Huggins, of Springfield, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. Connie spent most of her life in the Seymour area and had worked as an Assistant Manager at Pizza Hut in Marshfield for the past fourteen years. Connie had made her profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Seymour Church of Christ. In her spare time, Connie enjoyed fishing and shopping for antiques, and was an excellent seamstress. She cherished the time that she spent with her grandchildren and had a special love for all the children in her life. Connie was a loving wife, mother, step-mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and accomplishments and will cherish the wonderful memories she has created for her family and many dear friends. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 11, 2007, in the Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Seymour. Burial will be in the Copening Cemetery, east of Niangua. Visitation will be held Monday evening from 6 - 8:00 p.m. under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Seymour, Missouri. Return to top
