Connie Mattes (Camdenton)'s Obituary
Constance D. “Connie” Mattes, daughter of Lillian Neil was born December 27, 1933 in Cincinnati, Ohio. She passed away on Saturday, December 22, 2012 just a few days before her seventy-ninth birthday.
Connie called the Camdenton area home for the past thirty-three years ever since she and her husband, Walt Mattes, moved from Chicago to the lake area. Connie and Walt operated Adam’s Ale Resort for eighteen years. Connie was a dedicated caregiver who, up until her death, worked for the Lake of the Ozark Developmental Center and was known for offering a helping hand to all those in need. Connie lived an active and vibrant life whose dedication to service was an inspiration to all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Lillian Neil; her husband Walt Mattes and a son, Douglas N. Mattes.
Connie is survived by her children, Michael W. Mattes, Linda Mattes Golding, Sandra A. Wilhelm, Catherine M. Mattes, Matthew J. Mattes, and Barbara A. Kupfert. Connie will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her children and their spouses, her twenty-two grandchildren, her thirteen great-grandchildren, and many dear friends.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Red Cross and left at the funeral home.
